Job Purpose:


The Site Store Manager ensures efficient store operations by overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of construction materials. This role maintains accurate inventory levels, ensures timely material provision for projects, upholds quality and safety standards, and controls costs. The manager also implements effective documentation and leads the store team to achieve operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

· Design and execute the Store Operation and strategy to meet company objective.

· Create a full documenting cycle that insures full control and audit of material receiving and delivering.

· Oversee daily operations of the stores, making sure they run smoothly and effectively.

·  Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.

·  Ensure standards for quality, health and safety are met.

·  Identifies current and future requirements by establishing report with Electrical and Mechanical departments to understand site requirements.

· Issue material to site team as per requisition slip authorized by the projects manager with proper care and handling.

·  Responsible for controlling inventory stock levels and reordering as necessary within budget.

·  All Site Warehouses must be properly controlled.

·  Daily reports must be reported directly to the line manager.

·  Check all invoices for quantity, quality, rates and maintain records accordingly.

·  Ensure regular availability and maintain appropriate level of inventory in stores.

·  Manage all aspects of Loss Prevention and adhere to external and internal procedures for theft, inventory management and operations controls.

·  Ensure that the materials are placed in smaller piles and proper stacking to obtain the physical stock at any time of the day with accuracy.

·  Maintain a safety, security and clean store environment by developing and publishing evacuation routes; determining and documenting locations of potentially dangerous materials and chemicals.

·  Hire, train, develop and supervise staff.


Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree.

·  Must have at least 5 years’ experience in construction store field.

·  Proven experience in store handling of construction material.

·  Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

·  Thorough understanding of Accounts, Inventory management & Budgeting.

·  Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
