Marketing & Communication Manager

Responsibilities

Manages the social media & web content strategy for the University. Executes a social media plan that will include different marketing tactics using social media platforms to their fullest extent, enabling UVU to reach different audiences with clear, consistent messages that have a positive impact on the university’s reputation and image. Responsible for monitoring various social media tools and respond/provide feedback to students/parents/key stakeholders.

Sharing and monitoring of the University’s social media presence and ensuring that the information being shared online is valuable and engaging for the different audiences. Sharing data and results on a weekly basis with marketing leadership to foster data driven decisions. Responsible for executing social media advertising and public relations campaigns, and purchasing ads increasing campaign awareness to obtain department and university KPIs.

This position will work closely with the Sr. Director of Social Media and Web Strategy to develop strategic integrated marketing communication plans . Work in partnership with the manager of Integrated Marketing Communications as well as the different embedded marketing & communications managers throughout the institution.

Manages the development and publishing of social media assets in partnership with our broadcasting services department and our communications colleagues. This position will also work closely with our photography department to create social media imagery that is relevant, diverse and timely for all social media postings.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 3-5 years of related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling at least 10 years.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, social media management, or other relevant major.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

Knowledge

Proven working experience managing digital marketing.

Demonstrable experience working with marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns.

• Manage Performance management cycle including End of year appraisal, coaching sessions, and mid-year review; and identify the areas of improvement to develop performance levels and ensure abiding by the bell curve assigned each year.

• Update organization charts once per month to reflect the terminations, resignations, reallocation, new hires, and all the input retrieved from the Personnel Department.


Job Requirements:


BA in business administration or a relevant field.

Excellent in English.

HR diploma is a must.
