Job Description
Cost Analysis and Reporting:
Evaluates and records plant labor, including direct labor, indirect labor, and all variances to inform plant management of financial performance.
Computes unit costs of company products or services and establishes cost standards, evaluating business cost processes for opportunities for improvements.
Inventory Management:
Establishes the value of inventory as it changes with market fluctuations.
Conducts cycle counts and wall-to-wall physical inventory counts, investigating variances that arise.
Data Analysis and Communication:
Designs or creates data collection systems and analyzes the data for upper management.
Communicates with people from multiple layers of the company, including management and laborers.
Financial Management:
Manages and maintains the cost accounting system, incorporating an understanding of manufacturing processes.
Produces financial reports and facilitates account reconciliations.
Problem-Solving and Improvement:
Identifies and reports variances to management for decision-making purposes.
Evaluates business cost processes for opportunities for improvements.
Other Responsibilities:
Follow up and control all – GL Adjustment and finance related tasks.
Follow up the stock movement to reconcile the balance between the and books the stock balance by quantity, price, and value end of each month.
Post journal entries in the company general ledger accounting software.
All balance sheet accounts reconciliations related to the Section.
Assist with the preparation of other reports provided to management.
Assist monthly closing accounts including GL journal entries related to the Section.
Assist with yearend audits and work with auditors and more senior members of the accounts function to prepare the notes to the annual published accounts.
Job Requirements
From 2 to 4 years of experience.
Automotive manufacturing industry experience.
BSc degree in Accounting, Finance.
Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role.
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong time management skills.
