Product Manager
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide product strategic direction to ensure profitable growth; contribute towards global sales strategies within automotive applications.
- Present product ideas and proposals to the team following established approval processes.
- Build business cases for product platforms.
- Initiate and coordinate platform development programs in cooperation with sales and applications specialists and in alignment with R&D.
- Manage product platforms over their entire lifecycle.
- Create sales tools, product value proposition material, product roadmaps, define target pricing and conduct technical workshops together with application specialists.
- Direct research and data analysis efforts to identify customer needs and improve the lead quality, user satisfaction and ultimately grow revenue.
- Developing accurate pricing strategies against competitors.
- Maintaining accurate application details for a large catalog database, whilst providing technical information for all stakeholders.
- Developing ranges within brand guidelines.
- Providing regular and updated communication for all stakeholders around new product releases and technical strategy.
- Technical support and providing first-level customer and sales assistance around products.
- Supporting and promoting the brand to secure positive media coverage
- Developing and executing media relations strategies
- Creating internal and external materials, including key messages, speeches, press kits, and news releases
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field - prefer Engineering
- 5-8 years of experience - with a background in automotive products.
- Experience in the identification of vehicle components.
- The candidate must be experienced in the preparation and execution of external and internal communication strategies, launch programs, auto shows, events and media materials
- Communication skills – proficiency in creating compelling brand narratives, product and brand press materials, speeches, and press releases
- Media relations – proficiency in managing and creating relationships with automotive and mainstream media. Develop and execute media relations strategies to secure positive coverage
- Creative thinking - use creative methods to navigate the media landscape and develop unique communication strategies. Integrate brand messaging across digital, social and traditional media platforms
- Technical knowledge - understand the automotive industry. Ability to translate technical product details into accessible information for the media and public
- Analytical skills – track media coverage and analyze its impact on the brand. Use data to inform and adjust communication strategies
